Carl 15/11 1913 is engraved in Wiktoria's engagment ring.
Their oldest daughter Inga will have an aquamarine stone added and give it to her daughter in 1969. In 2010 the ring will be handed down to Karl's great-great-grand-daughter Doris.

Their daughter Inga is two years old and Wiktoria is preganant when Karl passes away. Wiktoria will give birth to their second daughter Maj eight months after Karl's death. Wiktoria will rent out the only room in the apartment in Stockholm while she and her two daughters will live in the kitchen. To support herself and her daughters she will make a living from making men's bow ties.
